Why am i in Tears watching a Movie !
Its just a Movie, not a real life event and moreover i’m a guy [say boy] who musn’t be crying or shed tears as per the masculine Law. The above said preassumptions are not anything i’ve come up with. But they are the common things the society holds up.
I’m not ashamed to say that i’ve had lots of tears watching many movies. This doesn’t mean i’m a sentimental emotional guy who loves to watch Oscar and ‘never-even-heard-of’ award winning movies. I see all types of films, and to your wonder i normally avoid Sentimental films. I’m not much attached to it.
How can anyone watch a non-sentimental film and still in tears ? My eyes get filled with tears when i’m excited to see some dramatic moments, scenes with some emotional action that touches me, scenes which remind me of my childhood, inspirational dialogues and scenes which makes me proud etc.
I can’t remember, in how many movies i’ve shed tears. Some of the movies are: Tare Zameen par [hindi] where it reminds me of my childhood. I was full on tears when the boy finally gets the prize. Shawshank Redemption, where he escapes and finally feels the rain of freedom, fruits of his hope. SAW , a horror thriller movie, the last seen where the soundtrack hits “Hello zepp”, its just so exciting. Another is the Malayalam movie Traffic, where the efforts of the entire team reaching to its success. Some other films are The Dark Knight, Munnabhai M.B.B.S , Lage raho munnabhai, Aadukalam, Bommarillu, Abiyum Naanum, Monsters inc … list goes on.
I don’t why this happens, but i think i take movies as a reflection of real life whatever be the exaggerations they give. Tears on.
